Hi there, I’m Dakota Potts. As a seasoned gunsmith, armorer, and devoted competitive shooter, I’ve got a real soft spot for the intricate design, artistry, and mechanics of firearms. I’ve put in the hard yards, receiving an education in classical engineering at Piedmont Technical College and earning a Degree in General Machine Tool Technology.
With almost a decade of experience behind me, I’ve honed my skills by building high-end custom rifles, including ones matching the exact specifications of current military sniper rifles. I’ve also had the privilege of working for a leading firearms manufacturer, Kalashnikov USA, as their in-house gunsmith. Working for such respectable companies, I sharpened my expertise and applied it to the crafting of my own firearms, from competition rifles to my concealed carry.
Outside of gunsmithing, I have a great devotion to learning about firearm history and technology, and I am always fascinated to learn more about the most recent breakthroughs or goings-on in the community. Besides that, I’m also an experienced competitive shooter and spend my spare time developing my skills on the field.
